Glastonbury, CT – Last week, Corey Turner, Managing Member of Turner Home Improvement Contractors, LLC, was officially sworn in as a member of the Glastonbury Town Council. A lifelong resident of Glastonbury, Corey has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to enhancing the community through both his professional endeavors and personal involvement. Before this appointment Corey served as a Vice Chair of the Glastonbury Parks and Recreation Committee and Secretary of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
From Glastonbury’s website regarding Town Leadership / Town Council: Glastonbury has a Town Council/Town Manager form of government. The Town Council consists of nine (9) members serving two (2) year terms. Members normally shall be elected at regular town elections, which take place biennially on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Council members serve without compensation except for actual and reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of official duties. The legislative power of the town is vested exclusively in the Council as contained in the Town Charter.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Corey was accompanied by his wife, Kelly Turner, and their three children, underscoring the family’s dedication to the town. Reflecting on her husband’s passion, Kelly remarked, “If you know Corey, you know that there isn’t a whole lot that he loves more than the town of Glastonbury. His passion for making this town the best place that it can be is evident in everything that he does. He is never satisfied with ‘good enough’ and always throws himself 100% into whatever he does.” Kelly is also a Glastonbury native who works in and gives back to the community as Assistant Branch Manager at Total Mortgage and Vice Chair of the Glastonbury Education Foundation’s Executive Board.
Keeping with his family’s traditions, Corey instilled “Community” as a core value of Turner Home Improvement Contractors.
