What to expect with a window replacement project.

Interested in upgrading to all new energy-efficient windows, but not quite sure what to expect? Here’s a play-by-play on what to expect with a window replacement project!

Preparing for Replacement Day

Prior to the scheduled window replacement day, we recommend clearing the area surrounding your windows as best as possible. This means removing any blinds, curtains, or any other window treatments out of the way. If you have furniture blocking access to the window, it is also good to move these too. If anything is too difficult to move or remove, please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance. For added measure, remove any pictures or wall decorations close to the windows. Also, if you have security sensors on your windows, you will need to schedule a time with your security company to remove them.

On Replacement Day

On the scheduled replacement day our team will arrive with your new windows. They will need access to the inside and outside of your home.

First, our team will conduct a brief walk-through inspecting the windows to be replaced. From there they will have decided their starting point. Drop cloths or plastic sheeting will be used to cover your floor and any furnishings near the work area as added protection. Once everything is set up, the removal of the window begins. Our team is careful when conducting a removal as we want to prevent any damage to your walls or cause a need to repaint.

Once the old window is out, we place them in our trailer for disposal. If you wish to keep your old windows for any reason, please let us know ahead of time.

Next up, your new window is installed! Our expert window installers will install your new replacement windows with ease. They will ensure the window is installed level and even, giving your window its best chance for success.

From there, our team will repeat the process for each window being replaced and then conduct a thorough clean-up.
